No cookies, no tracking
This website sets no cookies. It loads no analytics, no advertising, no tag manager, no social widgets and no embedded video. Every file it needs — including the fonts — is served from this domain, so opening a page sends your IP address to no one but our own server.
The one thing stored on your device is a single browser preference, grid-visible, written only
when you press the grid button in the header. It records whether you want the layout grid drawn,
never leaves your browser, and can be removed by clearing site data.
The search is built into the page: it downloads an index and runs in your browser. What you type is never sent anywhere.
What the server records
Our hosting provider records ordinary web-server logs — IP address, time, requested address, user agent — which are needed to serve the site and to detect abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating and securing the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). They are not used to profile anyone.
These logs belong to the running server instance: they are discarded whenever the site is redeployed, which happens whenever the site changes.
The site is served from Amsterdam, the Netherlands, by Railway, which acts as our processor. The data stays inside the European Union.
People named on this site
The team page publishes professional information about members of Laptenok Labs, and the CV names academic supervisors, opponents and former employers as a matter of professional record. The basis is our legitimate interest in describing our work accurately.
Your rights
You may ask for access to your personal data, for its correction or erasure, for restriction of processing, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to customercare@laptenoklabs.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, uoou.gov.cz).
